Background and Education

Originally from West Yorkshire, Dr. Rizwaan Chaudhry is a dual-qualified dentist with a strong foundation in both dental technology and clinical dentistry. His career began with a degree in Dental Technology from the University of Manchester, after which he gained two years of hands-on experience as a dental technician in both a private laboratory and at Manchester Dental Hospital, specialising in prosthodontics and implant-retained dentures.

Building on this technical expertise, Rizwaan graduated in Dental Surgery from the University of Leeds, completing his foundation training in Hull and remaining in North Yorkshire for four years. During this time, he received recognition for his academic work, winning the BACD Poster Prize twice for research in Digital Occlusion and Digital Denture Techniques, and publishing articles aimed at supporting fellow dental professionals.

Clinical Expertise and Advanced Training

Since qualifying in 2020, Dr. Chaudhry has travelled internationally to study with world-renowned clinicians. This global exposure has enabled him to develop a broad skill set, with a special focus on complex dental treatments, including:

• Full-mouth rehabilitation and soft tissue management
• Smile makeovers using veneers, crowns, and bonding
• Fixed and removable prosthodontics
• Invisalign clear aligner therapy
• Digital occlusion and advanced restorative planning

Rizwaan’s unique background in dental technology allows him to design and fabricate his own dentures, crowns, veneers, and temporary restorations. He also incorporates 3D printing technology in his workflow, particularly for producing high-quality temporaries during full smile transformations.

Professional Engagement and Academic Pursuits

Currently, Dr. Chaudhry is pursuing specialist training in Prosthodontics at King’s College London, enabling him to treat patients with complex restorative needs, including those requiring bite rehabilitation or suffering from advanced tooth wear.

He is also an active member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD), where he currently sits on the Committee, and has lectured internationally on occlusion, prosthodontics, and digital workflows. He regularly contributes to the profession by writing CPD content for fellow dentists.

Beyond Dentistry

Outside the clinic, Rizwaan is a passionate cricket and hockey enthusiast, both as a player and a spectator. He enjoys 80s music, sci-fi films and novels, swimming, and is committed to maintaining a good skincare routine—always aiming to grow old gracefully.
